STEM+C Lesson Plans

Providing Hands-On STEM Learning to the Public

Over the years, we have partnered with schools in Bryan and Hearne to bring an integrative mode of science education into the classroom. We did this by creating lesson plans that combine three streams of learning — engineering, computer science, and 3D printing — that worked with the existing science curriculum.

As the STEM+C program comes to a close, we are excited to share the knowledge and insights we’ve gained throughout this journey.

Our lesson plans — designed to promote hands-on learning and strengthen students’ problem-solving skills — have been implemented in 5th and 6th grade classrooms. Based on real-world feedback and classroom experience, we’ve refined these lessons to better meet student needs.

Below are four lesson plans that, as of 2025, align with TEKS standards and are ready for classroom use. Each unit has a set of instructional resources: lesson plans, student slides, and detailed teaching guides.

We welcome educators, parents, and curious learners to explore these materials and even build the kits themselves!
